The 32 piece set serves 8 and includes 8 @ dinner plates 11", 8 salad plates 7 3/4", 8 soup/cereal bowls 8 3/4", 8 mugs 4 3/4" h.  PLUS 7 serving pieces: 2 oval platters 18" x 14", 2 round serving bowls 13 1/4" in diameter, 1 two quart pitcher, 1 creamer and 1 sugar with lid.  The serving pieces hold more than enough for 8 so you have fewer trips to the kitchen.
