It was possibly used as a fishmonger's sign. It measures 25.5" wide and 10" tall and is affixed to a dark-stained wicker frame measuring 30" wide and 14" tall. The piece and frame measures 4.5" deep in total. Condition is very good. There is an unglazed area or flak chip from the tail of one fish.
