It looks like it was painted over something else. Appears to me to be Hutschenreuther but I can't be certain - any info appreciated. I think it may have been a sample from E&R (Ebeling & Reusse, a wholesale distributor of fine china & crystal in Phila. that my folks bought from for their NJ fine gift shop) I have 2 other vintage patterns of several Hutschenreuther gold embossed dinner plates with floral centers listed too. It's just time to thin out the china cupboard ~ in great condition and the gold is in tact ~ no chips, cracks, crazing or utensil marks that I can see ~~ I am happy to send other photos and try to answer any questions you may have.
