Vintage WESTERN STONEWARE Monmouth HUGE JUG 5gal Start Price USD 85.00 Current Price USD 85.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Monday, September 01, 2008 End Time Monday, September 08, 2008 Location Freeport, Illinois See more about 'Vintage WESTERN STONEWARE Monmouth HUGE JUG 5gal' Description Western Stoneware Monmouth Huge Jug This auction is for an old jug.  On the front is Western Stoneware Monmouth, ILL in blue at the bottom.  At the top is the #5 in blue. (5 gal) .  It measures 19" high and 38" around.  The bottom part is stone color and the top is dark brown.  Overall it is in pretty great shape for its age,  has some marks of character, needs TLC and cleaning and it has a few paint splatter drops on it.  There is one small chip near the bottom of the handle where the arrow is pointing in the picture.  And there is one pit about an inch long in the handle, but do not think it is a chip from use, it looks like it was in the making as it was glazed over in the making.  The bottom shows some dirt and wear from age and use.
