This is a wonderful, vintage 1949 Abingdon Daisy Cookie Jar from their Daisy Pottery Ensemble. They did a series of cookie jar, salt and pepper shaker and grease jar in this Daisy pattern and in a brown daisy lid as well as this BLUE DAISY with Yellow Center! Beautiful old cookie jar. It looks like it was never used! There is a light, very tight 3/4" hairline on the rim that I tried to show in picture...this may have been a factory flaw as I have another jar with the same line on it. It cannot be seen when lid is on! Can't be felt with rubbing finger, only with fingernail. Other than that it is in bright, shiny and clean condition! Jar stands 8-1/2" tall to top of daisy finial and 7" at it's widest center of jar. Bottom is marked with black stamped square ABINGDON U.S.A. and also embossed with the number 677. Jar is a creamy  white with turquoise blue daisy, yellow center. The faceof jar says COOKIES with the "OO" being two daises!
