The shade is  3" hi  and 4 1/2" at the wide point with a 2 1/4" fitter. It is my understanding that this was to go on a boudior lamp and not to be held by a fitter. It does have the two small flakes on the small end under side of " fitter " as seen in the picture. One is approx 1/8" and the other about 1/16". This is a nice looking shade.
