The London Art Glass Company of WHITEFRIARS, under the guardianship of their legendary designer, Geoffrey Baxter, created a collection of very respected pieces known as the ‘textured range’ in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Today, vases such as the Banjo, Drunken Bricklayer and TV look incredibly contemporary and are highly prized. This particular piece (On the LEFT of the third photo) was produced in London, England around 1970.  It's arguably the iconic and most collectable of vases; the DRUNKEN BRICKLAYER.  It comes in the highly collectable subtle GREY colour of PEWTER and stands a little over 8 inches tall.  All of Baxter's pieces were made of cased glass which means that the coloured glass is embedded within a layer of crystal clear glass which can be clearly seen in several places on this beautiful vase, especially at the base. It displays beautifully and is in a super condition with absolutely NO chips or cracks.  The base carries a minimal amount of wear for an iconic piece of 1970s Art.  This is guaranteed as an authentic Whitefriars item and carries the ground out and polished pontil to the base which is always a reliable indicator.
