Description
This is a super Bernard Moore flambé pottery vase in a very rare straight sided shape, produced at Moore’s Wolfe Street works in Stoke on Trent around 1905. Moore was the early 20th Century glaze master whose consulting work with Royal Doulton led to Noke’s ranges such as Sung, Chang and Flambé as well as producing award winning work in his own right. The vase stands 9 inches (23 cms) high and is 3.5 inches (9 cms) maximum diameter across the shoulders It is In excellent condition with no damage or restoration other than a tiny nick at the base rim – shown in extreme close-up in one of the pictures. With a wonderful, rich flambé and a great shape it’s a great example in a shape I have never seen before in over 25 years of researching Moore’s work. The base is fully marked (underglaze) BERNARD MOORE in full. International payment can be made by any major credit card at no cost to the buyer. Payment from UK buyers can be made by any major debit or credit card or a cheque drawn on a UK account – all without cost to the buyer. PayPal is accepted. I ship worldwide and pack to an excellent standard, I am happy to quote for shipment to any destination.
