This is wonderful "cordonato d'oro" vase, circa 1950s laden with gold aventurine. A rare collectable piece-unsigned vases from this series sold  at theQuittenbaum Auction of Murano Glass on February 12th 2008for $6000. See photo of catalogue entry and click below for link to auction results. www.quittenbaum.de/elisten/Ergli071.pdf Beautifully shaped red glass with gold aventurine perfectly placed throughout, the entire piece is cased in clear glass which has been ribbed the entire length of the vase. The rim of the vase has been finished with an evenly spaced scallop. The reflection of the gold and red through the clear ribs is superb. Signed on base Archimede Seguso Murano.Condition: In excellent condition, no chips, no dings, no repairs. Clean inside and out.    Wear to base, as expected. Measurements: 6 ¾ inches / 17 cms tall.5 ½ inches /  14 cms across at widest point.4 ¼ inches / 11 cms across at top opening. Weight: Approximately 1 kilo.
