Description
Please check out my 100% POSITIVE EBAY FEEDBACK and bid with complete confidence.  (And please check out the other beautiful pots that I have on eBay.)                   You are bidding on a magnificent feelie by renowned ceramist Rose Cabat.                   DESCRIPTION:  This exceptional tall feelie has a bulbous wide shoulder and a beautifully proportioned, fully realized neck.  The glaze is a matte ivory with soft rose highlights (and lovely blue-veined drips at the base.)  The feelie stands 4” tall and measures 2 ¾” at its widest; it displays nicely large.  It is in mint condition- no chips, cracks or repairs- and is signed on the bottom.                  This is a no reserve auction.                  ABOUT ROSE CABAT:  Rose Cabat was born in 1914 and was drawn to art as a child.  In 1936, she married fellow artist and childhood playmate Erni Cabat.  He bought her a membership to the Greenwich Settlement House and encouraged her to take some classes on pottery.  Cabat made pots while her children were growing up, but was more interested in raising her family and taking care of her garden.  In the 1960s, after her children were raised, Cabat really started expressing herself through pottery.  Because she often worked in isolation, her pieces have their own character and do not display the influence of other potters or trends of the time.  Eventually, she concentrated on refining a form of tactile porcelain vessel that became here "feelies".  Her work has been exhibited at the Smithsonian's Renwick Gallery, is in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and is coveted by collectors the world over.  Cabat works and resides in Tucson, Arizona.                 Winning bidder pays $12 plus (mandatory) insurance for USPS priority shipping and handling. (International shipping charge is $35.) Payment is due within seven days of the end of the auction.  I accept Paypal, money orders, and personal checks (but please allow ample time for personal checks to clear.) International winners must use Paypal.  THANKS for looking and GOOD LUCK.  On Oct-09-08 at 17:15:27 PDT, seller added the following information: Use the FREE Counters 1 million sellers do - Vendio!
