It has underglaze advertising in blue on the side for: HARTMANN'S STORE RELIABLE MERCHANDISED HONEST VALUE PIERZ MINN. along with holiday greetings of MERRY CHRISTMAS 1925 and HAPPY NEW YEAR 1926. There are some natural glaze imperfections that were done in the making and firing like tiny glaze skips, a fingerprint, and some roughness. There is some minor damage like a tiny glaze flea bite by lip and on bottom edge. By the fingerprint there is a short connected horizontal and vertical bruise line. This vertical line is not a hairline, as it is only on the inside, and not the outside. This may have been partially done in the making, because it's odd that it's right by that fingerprint smudge. Otherwise, this old stoneware piece is in fine condition with no cracks or repairs and some wear, see photos. I was advised that these Red Wing Stoneware Company Cherry Band Pitchers are very collectible and quite valuable when they have advertising. What sets this piece apart is that the advertising was placed on the side of the pitcher! I was advised that the advertising on these pitchers was almost always placed directly underneath the spout.
