Description
An opportunity like this presents itself once in a lifetime! These superior shaded, colored Victorian French Baccarat candlesticks display exquisitely. And one of them retains its candleabra arms and central post intact! Make sure to see all of the photos please. The prisms all match and are original. A few have some minor chippies. The photo that shows the pair - matching bases - are in excellent condition. The one that has the arms and central post to make it a candleabra does have a few condition issues. One is that the right and left bobeches are not a match. In pictures 3 and 4, the one on the left is original and the one on the right is a replacement. The left one is broken nearly in half. (picture shows a closeup view of the break but it is also visible when it is on the left in pictures 3 and 4). From the front, when displayed you cannot notice that it is missing anything! Likewise, there is a chip out of the base of the upper candleholder cup (see closeup photo). Again, from the front you cannot see that damage at all. Assembled the candleabra measures over 22" in height. There are a few extra prisms, and a pair of broken arms that will ship with these in case you find you can do something with them that I couldn't do. Each of the bases is impressed mold marked Baccarat and depose. Without the upper portion, each base weighs approx. 8 pounds! Total weight is approx. 25 pounds. Please note that we anticipate serious interest from France and although we do not ordinarily ship internationally, we will consider doing so because of the special nature of this item. Obviously, these will require special handling and packaging. We will do our best to ascertain an accurate shipping quote for France, upon your request. Please do not make the purchase without first knowing and understanding the costs involved in shipping overseas. BUY WITH CONFIDENCE!
