Description
This rare Quimper Plat du Chef, depicting a male (Petit Breton) figure dressed in the traditional Breton costume, is a small dish in which the contents, such as a quiche, were actually prepared, cooked, and served, which explains the reason for their rarity. It can still, to this day, be used in the oven and can go in the dishwasher. This one measures 7 inches (18 cms) in diameter at the handles. Considering its age and the nature of its use, it is in excellent condition, with only some crazing, and some glaze skips on the bottom. This would be a unique addition to any collection, and as a display piece as well. Please email me if you have questions. Thank you.
