It is a figural piece and appears to represent a group of monks gathered at a stream washing clothing. The piece measures about 3 3/4" by 3 3/8" by 1 1/4". It is in excellent condition. The only minor issue is an old shallow flake to the edge of orange "basket" which measures about 1/4" across. Hand-decorated with lots of detail. See photo for mark on base.
