Description
Please have a look at my Me page next to my username to find more high end porcelain on my own site!!  For auction is a rare cup and saucer made by Naples in about 1790. The Capodimonte factory existed near Naples from 1743 until 1759. It had little to do with the Naples factory which was founded by Ferdinand IV in 1771. It was around until 1806 when the French occupied it and after that the molds, etc. were sold all over the place. The set is handpainted with a superb scene of a volcano erupting (probably Vesuvius ) with a landscape with people and buildings in it. Nice gold trim all around. The set is in great condition with a small rim blemish on the top edge of the cup but it is from the making and has the original gilding on it. The cup and saucer are marked with the underglaze blue N with a crown on top often used by other makers but originally used by Naples as is the case on this set. The cup stands 2.25 inches tall, 2.125 inches in diameter. The saucer is 0.875 inches tall and 4.875 inches in diameter. A very nice piece that would make a great addition to any collection. Porzellan Porcelaine Paypal for international bidders only unless otherwise discussed. I will send a separate invoice via Paypal if needed. Shipping is 15 Dollars including insurance (Continental US). My shipping costs are all entered into Ebay and they are flat fees. I won't change them and if you don't like them - don't bid. Fairly simple really. Sometimes I gain most times I loose on them. I combine shipping as much as I can do safely. I ship airmail only and it should be pretty fast but sometimes it takes up to ten weeks and I have no control over that. Usually it is stuck in customs. I would like an email from the winning bidder within three days if at all possible! I ship internationally and like money orders and personal checks the best. It takes a bit longer but is a lot less costly to me. I pack very safely so no worries there! I can accept Paypal if need be as well. E-mail me with any questions or concerns. I also understand that more pictures might be helpful so just ask. I will write back for sure (but don't wait till last minute). Money back guarantee for valid reasons but items are not new and in some cases 200 years plus old so keep that in mind. I also have for auction some Meissen pieces , KPM , Nymphenburg , Sevres , Vienna , Dresden , and some English pieces like Worcester and Staffordshire , etc. Something for everyone - just have a peek at the other auctions. Thanks for taking the time to look at my stuff! Hope you enjoyed the show :)
