Rainbow began producing their own hand blown glass in 1954 and crackled glass until 1979. They were purchased by Viking Art Glass in 1973. This cruet is #611 as shown in their catalogs in ruby. Ruby had its own number. It is gorgeous, the ruby is deep, rich, very vivid. Rainbow made these cruets in 6 styles, I love the elegant style of this one. The top has a thin line of clear around the rim which has a nice spout and ruffled ears. There is a Rainbow pontil mark on the bottom. The handle is a matching ruby color, pulled back style with a perfect circular loop that Rainbow did on many pieces, it's perfect and a great extra touch by the glass blower. The crackle is mostly medium, even throughout, starts on the bottom and continues up to the ground neck. The triple ball stopper is also ground and fits very nicely. The pictures do not do the coloring justice. The condition is excellent, clean and clear, no chips or cracks. Looking closely I see no bubbles or blemishes, it is a beauty and perfect.
