Description
This is a rare Royal Worcester Grecian Fairy lamp with date marks for 1898 underneath. It consists of a Grecian lady holding a water jug in her right hand down by her side with her left hand up above her head simulating that she is carrying a basket on her head though her hand does not touch the basket. On top is a Clarke's Cricklite fairy lamp glass cup with a Blue Nailsea dome. The colours in this item are amezing with accents of purple, gold with ivory coloured tones for the exposed body parts. The basket on top of her head also has the Greek key pattern. Condition is excellent with no damage to any part of the item. Colours are strong. It has the Royal Worcester date stamp underneath for 1898 (7 dots). "TRADE MARK CRICKLITE 2 - 125" also underneath. The clear glass cup is marked "Clarke's Cricklite Patent Trade Mark". The item disassembles into 3 pieces - the figurine, the glass cup with part of the brass fitting, & the nailsea fairy lamp dome. Overall height is 16.5 inches. Height to top of brass fitting is 12 inches. Height to top of Grecian lady is 10 inches. Clarke's Glass cup diameter is 4 inches. Paypment via paypal only. Insurance is optional for buyer.
