Description
Offering a very rare late 19th century Meissen Swan Teapot modelled after the Johann Joachim Kandler Swan Set from 1738 in Saxony, Germany. It's name derives from the relief decoration of a waterscape with swans. This particular teapot is masterfully hand painted which shows the three dimensional relief in wonderful color. The teapot measures 7 1/4 inches wide from the handle to the tip, 5 inches deep and stands 6 1/2 inches high. The base is has the blue Meissen Mark. The teapot has a 1 inch crack along the top edge opening on one side which I have shown in the pictures. Other than that the teapot is in excellent condition with no other chips or cracks. The glaze is in excellent condition. I ship USPS Priority Mail and require full insurance. Please check my 100% Positive Feedback and buy with confidence.
