SUPERB MOORCROFT 'ASHWOOD GOLD' 769/6 rare ginger jar by EMMA BOSSONS FRSA - No. 177 out of 200 - Signed!. A Special Edition for Ashwood Nurseries with Royal Horticultural Society backstamp. Welcome. You are looking at my offer of a superb example of a Moorcroft 'Ashwood Gold' limited edition ginger jar by Emma Bossons FRSA, which reluctantly comes from my own collection. It is offered at a price providing you with a great opportunity to add a rare and really worthwhile Moorcroft limited edition piece to your collection at a fraction of the 2008 catalogue price asked by Moorcroft for their current range of standard designs. This is a superb underglaze signed example of the ASHWOOD GOLD designed by EMMA BOSSONS FRSA in 2004 and released as a special limited edition of 200 for Ashwood Nurseries. This rare item is number 177 and it comes with the original box..To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Royal Horticultural Society, Ashwood Nurseries commissioned this six-inch ginger jar decorated with with panels of Hellebores, Hepatica, and Wild Cyclamen. (It is most unusual to have three separate design panels on one piece.) Designer Emma Bossons, was thrilled to take on this challenge and created a masterpiece. In recognition the Royal Horticultural Society granted Moorcroft permission to use its cipher on the base of each piece of the 200 strong limited edition.ASHWOOD GOLD made its debut to great praise and acclaim in February 2004 at an informal launch at Ashwood Nurseries in Kingswinford in the West Midlands.
