Description
WE ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS THROUGH PAYPAL.Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: Our opening bid is our reserve. Incredible and quite rare green enamel footbath (foot bath) and matching large footbath pitcher. Wonderful molded shape with gilding. Notice the molded shell handle on the front. Both pieces are unmarked. The set looks like Old Paris, but I believe these to be English (old collectors paper label on the bottom of the pitcher says Staffordshire and the pitcher's form is definitely English). They date back to the 1830 to 1850 period. Condition is excellent on both. Slight rubbing on the green over-glazed enamel in some spots. No chips, or cracks. Gilding is in excellent shape. The set is very large. The massive footbath pitcher is about 17" tall. The footbath is about 21" long and 9" high. Early footbaths are getting hard to find. Massive footbath pitchers are quite rare. Having both of these still together after 150+ years, in excellent condition, is remarkable. You would have to look long and hard to find another set like this. These are very large and heavy. Footbath and pitcher will be packed separately in extra large boxes. Flat $125.00 shipping (insurance included) within the Continental US. Email us if outside the Continental US for a quote.
