These crude pieces were made to raise sniggers , smiles and dollars at the county fairs. interestingly , however they do have something in common with a later development in American ceramics, the so called Funk movement (1960). The Funk movement reveled in coarse low brow humor as a deliberate means of shocking the viewer. These coins are extremely rare and impossible to find. There are ten images on the five double sided coins.
