Description
Please check out my 100% POSITIVE EBAY FEEDBACK and bid with complete confidence.  (And please check out the other beautiful pots that I have on eBay.)                            You are bidding on a vase by world renowned master potter Otto Heino.                   DESCRIPTION:    This elegantly proportioned vase has an impressively wide belly that retracts into a graceful neck and flared lip.  Subtle ribbed lines from the making of the piece adorn the exterior.  It is colored with Heino’s much coveted matte yellow glaze.                As per Otto Heino’s website:  “In Asia, for centuries artists have been searching for a high-temperature yellow glaze. Low fire is easy. But at higher temperatures, the ingredients in yellow glazes fire out.  Never, until nine years ago, when Otto mixed the magic formula, has anyone else been able to consistently produce a yellow glaze of this type. It's a beautiful matte lemon yellow; the wood kiln adds a random peach blush to the pots. Otto's formula is committed to memory; no one else knows the secret combination and their exact percentages.”                  This gem measures 3 7/8” x 3 7/8” and is in mint condition- no chips, cracks or repairs.   It is signed and dated by Otto Heino on the underside.                 ABOUT OTTO HEINO: Ojai ceramic artist Otto Heino, who worked as a team with his wife Vivika until her death in 1996, is internationally renowned for the technical and aesthetic mastery of his work. He uses simple forms, flawlessly thrown, as a vehicle for his varied glazes, which he and Vivika developed through years of experimentation and study.   His pots, both with Vivika and alone, are included in the permanent collections of virtually every major ceramics museum and are coveted by collectors the world over.                  Winning bidder pays $14 for insured USPS priority shipping and handling. (International shipping charge is $35.) Payment is due within seven days of the end of the auction.  I accept Paypal, money orders, and personal checks (but please allow ample time for personal checks to clear.) International winners must use Paypal. THANKS for looking and GOOD LUCK. On Oct-09-08 at 17:15:27 PDT, seller added the following information: Use the FREE Counters 1 million sellers do - Vendio!
