Signed Figural Turtle Art Pottery Flower Frog Great!! This is marked on the bottom - I believe it is stamped JAPAN but hard to read - Also it has a square stamp maker’s mark (a seal mark). I would say at least pre WW 2 and possibly from early 1900’s. It has a glossy green paint fired on. (It's actually a little darker green than what pictures are showing). If you catch it in a strong light you can see a slight iridescence to it. The detailing is wonderful as you can see. It’s head is upturned - it has a tail. The shell has detailing. I’m sure it was all hand crafted from the way it looks. See my pictures. Condition is excellent - I only found paint misses - couple teeny flea bites on it’s feet. Measures about 4 ¼” long x 3” wide including 2 feet. If you are a turtle collector and or a flower frog collector, you will want this in your collection for sure. Or, just a pottery collector.
