* 1930's Vintage Oval Platter OLD HOLLAND WARE Universal ~ Cambridge, Ohio ~~~Vintage - 1930's - 11.5" x 9.25" x 1." oval platter with a scalloped edge, an embossed wide rim, a poppy & leaf design on left of center, a silver band trim & a round backstamp showing a Dutch Windmill and it reads: OLD HOLLAND WARE MADE IN U.S.A. ~~~ Excellent, used, condition. Minimal surface wear and cutlery strikes. An 11. 5" platter is currently selling on Replacements Limited for $ 41.99 ~~~~~~ Packaged Priority Mail shipping weight is 3.9 pounds. ~~~~~~~~ *UNIVERSAL DINNERWARE This potter was incorporated in Cambridge, Ohio in 1934, the outgrowth of several smaller companies in the area. They produced many lines of dinnerware and kitchenware items, most of which were marked. They're best known for their Ballerina and Cat-Tail dinnerware. The Cat-Tail pattern was produced for Sears Roebuck & Company and is still a popular collectable along with this Old Holland Ware.
