OLD ABINGDON SODA FOUNTAIN JAR ICE CREAM TOPPING SPOON Start Price USD 19.99 Current Price USD 26.00 Time Left - Bid Count 3 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Friday, August 29, 2008 End Time Friday, September 05, 2008 Location Saint Louis, Missouri See more about 'OLD ABINGDON SODA FOUNTAIN JAR ICE CREAM TOPPING SPOON' Description jenzgems Store OLD ABINGDON SODA FOUNTAIN JAR ICE CREAM TOPPING SPOON This is a vintage Abingdon pottery Nelson jar!  It was used at soda fountain ice cream shops and is shaped so that it fit into a chrome holder or base along with others like it.There is a chrome top and knob with see thru plastic.  Underneath the knob plastic is hand written "pine apple" which was the topping this jar held.When you lift the lid, there is a ladle spoon attached to the underneath of the lid.  The ladle is marked Rogers Hotel Plate and is in need of polishing.The jar at the biggest measures 7 1/2" x 4 1/4" and stands 7 1/4" tall without measuring the chrome top and knob.  There are marks here and there to the white finish and there is a small chip underneath the ledge on one corner.  There is a spider crack inside the jar and one of the lines shows all the way through to the outside as a hairline.  This is definitely and oldie but goodie!THANK YOU AND HAPPY BIDDING!
