Description
Northwood Ice Blue footed Wishbone ruffled carnival glass Bowl. Circa.. early 1900's. This carries the exterior pattern of Ruffles and Rings. This is a beautiful bowl with some excellent colorful iridescence. Condition is Excellent. No chips, cracks or reapirs. The sawtooth edge is excellent as well. Having none of those hidden nicks that like to hide in between the teeth. The 3 ball feet are smooth and chip free. Size is app.8-1/2" x 2-3/4". All of my pictures were taken outdoors in natural light with no altering. I have used 3 different backgrounds all in the same spot in my yard and in the same time frame. My favorite is the black. It really brings out the magnificent colorful iridescence. Then grass and against a white fence. I also show the bowl held up to the sunny sky. Good way to see all. This sits flat and even. No rocking.. These are not all that common in Ice Blue. You see maybe one or two a year. Mfg. comments.. This has few tiny ash? specks inside the glass. Made that way and common.  Has  the tiny tiny  air bubbles inside the  glass by the edge. That also is quite common in Ice colors. This is not damage. My pictures are large size and I show all of the bowl. You should see all you need. If  not  Please don't hesitate to ask any questions. If you have a zero feedback you will need to contact me for bidder approval. Also feedback under 2 must be paid for within 12 hours of auction close by paypal. Sorry but  there are some people that don't have a life and bid to entertain themselves. It spoils it for other serious bidders. Please check out all of my carnival glass. I have some very nice, exceptional color and some hard to find scarce items in my ebay store. I collect red and if you are looking to sell. Let me know.. Perhaps we can deal.. As you read my description, please note that  I do my best to tell all there is to tell, no matter how minor. I also use large size pictures. Sometimes they can make a tiny minor flaw look bigger or worse than it really is.   Please feel confident when buying from me. The only items I sell on ebay are  antique, authentic early 1900’s carnival glass .Over the last 3 years, I have sold over 850 pieces of antique carnival glass. I am retired and a carnival glass collector myself. I sell on ebay to help me with my collecting. The majority of my carnival glass that I sell is from private collections.   As you can see by my feedback, almost 1/3 of my customers are repeat buyers. The majority of my antique carnival glass that I sell comes from the private collection of carnival glass collectors. I spend a great deal of time and travel to buy some of the best examples out there. You can be assured that the glass you buy from me has been well taken care of through the years.   If sometimes I am listing as a buy it now or a reserve and you think the price is higher than what you see on a price guide, it will be for the reason of exceptional quality. Colorful iridescence is the most important factor in carnival glass in my opinion (along with condition of  course. ) Remember, it is best to use the guides as a rough guideline only. The price listed in the guide may be for inferior color, or an item that had damage. excessive flaws etc..  I find Mordini guide to be the most accurate and up to date. It lists each year all live  carnival glass auctions that the majority of the collectors and sellers attend (it is not items from ebay.) It is published at the first of each year, Doty guide is excellent for reference. It does not list ebay sales or disclose if a item was damaged, poor color and so on. As he says it is only a guide. The new Carnival glass guide 11th edition is also a good source.   Please realize that I paid a large sum to bring to you a exceptional or rare item. It is not a item that I picked up for a song at a garage sale.   You will find I use large pictures for you to see what you are bidding on, not pictures you need to puzzle together or you have to enlarge to see exactly what it looks like. I do not alter colors. My photo’s are edited on a calibrated monitor using Huey Pro for accurate color rendition. When I list a item I hold the glass to my monitor to compare to my pictures. It is as close to the real deal on my monitor. I cannot be responsible for color on your monitor. You will see some sellers using those tiny pictures. Sure they may look great. But they barely show anything when it comes to flaws or wear. Keep that in mind   I know what a chip is and where to look. I examine under a large lighted magnifying lamp. I examine the glass by feel. Sometimes that is the best way to detect those hidden chips. I also use manufacturing comments in my ads. I do my best to disclose all no matter how minor or typical it may be.   ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE THE END OF THE AUCTION. RETURN POLICY:I really want you to be satisfied with your glass I try to list ALL I see good or bad. Sometimes, it is not possible to mention every tiny minute normal imperfection that is from manufacturing or normal wear (strawmarks, air bubbles, minute scratches, color variances, tiny ash particles inside the glass, minor wear scratches or smudges, etc, etc!)  This is all normal and to be expected. If this is not acceptable .. please do not bid. I do not refund for any of the above mentioned from manufacturing. I believe most collectors are aware of this.I will accept returns-for-refund under the following circumstances: Grossly misrepresented items will be offered a full refund including shipping. It must be the same item and not washed or broke on your end. All of my glass is photographed when it goes out for documentation. You must ship back to me with in 2 business days of receipt and have my approval. I will not refund if you send back broke or with out being insured or not the same item.I must be notified by the buyer within 24 hours of item being received. This will be determined by the delivery confirmation ticket that is on all my packages.  For all non-defective returns, a 10% restocking fee and  any ebay fees not refunded, shipping cost(s)  both ways will be the buyers responibility. You must have my approval. PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS… .   FOR ALL U.S BUYERS… INSURANCE IS REQUIRED.…………………………………………………..   Payment to be received within 7 days after close of the auction.
