It is the early one with the green signature by William Moorcroft and stamped Moorcroft Burslem England. I have shown this to a couple of dealers and they also said they had never seen anything in Moorcroft this size or even with the decoration inside half way down. This massive piece is over 12" wide and over 7" high, which doesnt sound that big but I have included a photo next to a pint milk bottle to give a comparison. This does have a small hairline, I have shown a closeup of the front and back in the photos, the hairline is about 2.5" long and is very cheap and easy to restore. It has the usual wear inside and the usual crazing of something this age, again as can be seen in the photos. Other than these tiny faults it is in great condition. This is an absolute must for any serious collector as you may never see anything this monumental ever again !!!. I will consider any serious offers for this piece. This displays fantastically well and has 11 pomegranates round the outside (5 of which are open) with fantastic grape design inside, which is also rare as this is normally put round the top not half way down. Again I must stress the size of this bowl and the rarity of the piece. Postage is high as this weighs loads, I may consider Delivering myself as I dont want to take the risk of posting this hugely rare piece.
