The top of the bowl or oversized Chalice has green piping along its perimeter..The body of the sculpture has brown and clear stripped glass rods entwining a near perfect Torso in dark color..I would imagine this to be a later sculpture coming from Lucio Bubacco and out of the 5th Avenue Townhouse Estate of the Opera Singer This Large Bowl on Pedestal  measures approx 19.5" high and is approx 11" in diameter and is in perfect condition.  Workmanship is pure Lucio Bubacco..The Best...I was extremely lucky in being able to purchase a vintage collection of Lucio Bubacco Murano Glass  Sculptures. The collection came out of a 5th Avenue Townhouse owned by a well known Opera Singer (name withheld at Estate attorneys request) She had the absolute finest in Italian Art Glass and admired and knew Mr Bubacco In fact Estate curator mentioned that sculptures were from 1980s to 1990s. I feel that Lucio Bubacco's sculptures are one of the best investments in the Art Market today. More so on his vintage sculptures because the Artist changed over to more Black and White as opposed to his very colorful work in the 80s & 90s.Do a Google search and read the artists web page..So very interesting....To the Sculptures..Some of the Glass sculptures I have listed range in size up to 20" high and 20" wide and contain many many colorful figures..I will be listing the entire collection...Some still retaining their price tags of $8500.00 on the smallest and up in price..In checking artists website some similar sized sculptures fetch up to 15 thousand dollars and up but are not as colorful or as nice as my examples are.My auctions on these sculptures start at 4K and max out at 8K Bubacco's works today fetch 2 to 3 to 4 times more money and they are Not Vintage.The Artist is represented in numerous Museums..Lucio Bubacco's sensuous works combine the anatomic perfection of Greek sculpture with the Byzantine gothic architecture of his native Venice. Seductive themes, metamorphosis and transformation, forms emerging from the void, echo themes from our mythological past when sexuality was spiritual, not political.  .So if you want the absolute best in Italian  glass sculptures please view my other listings..The sculpture up for bid in this auction I called Blue Furnace since I went to Bubacco's web page and under Carnival saw another sculpture called Blue Furnace that was Very similar in appearance a Very Large Blue Chalice with round pedestal which carries artists signature and  2 colorful character figures from as it looks as if they just came out of the Commedia dell'Arte with Instruments in hands..Once more the colors are breathtaking and the anatomical figures Bubacco employs and is able to grasp so very well comes from his Masterwork as a Supreme Glass blower..Both are playing musical instruments..Anatomically the figures are wonderful they have muscle definition and look lifelike..Quite the task .Sculpture is in perfect condition and measures approx 13." high  base is signed  by Bubbaco.
