It was purchased by a Foreign Service Officer serving in the American Legion in Bucharest, in 1947. It is being offered now by the current owner who obtained this collection from the Foreign Legion Officer who was a personal acquaintance. (1) Raised Compote Pedestal: Approximately 5 3/4" in diameter at base, 6 3/4" high. This pedestal is dated 1800's based on crossed swords backstamp with dots. There are no incised marks through backstamp.  This is first quality porcelain! No Backstamp as part of pattern. This pedestal was originally part of a raised bowl mounted to this pedestal. The bowl was broken in transit and is no longer available. This is a very rare piece that has been preserved in outstanding condition. Condition is excellent. No chips, cracks, crazing or repairs.  Please see photos for reference. Pedestal is sold used, as-is, without warranty or return. No combined shipping for these rare and delicate China pieces.
