Description
Up for auction is a beautiful, 7 piece porcelain vegetable/cocktail server made by Meissen of Germany c.1930. Meissen is one of the finest quality and most recognized porcelain companies in all of the world. This vintage piece is in the lovely and sought after Blue Onion pattern. The set contains 1 round and 5 curved dishes painted with the unmistakable flowers, leaves and onions in several shades of blue and the entire set fits onto a wooden serving tray The underside is marked with the Meissen double crossed sword symbol and each piece is incised with the pattern number and the painter's mark. The same number is repeated on all of the pieces indicating that each piece is a part of the original set. This large piece is in virtually mint condition. The only problem with the whole set is a small chip on the rim of one of the curved serving dishes (see picture) There are no other chips, no cracks, no hairlines, no breaks and no repairs. The server measures 17 inches in diameter and sits 2 inches tall. Your purchase will be shipped within 24 hours of cleared payment (except for Sundays and Holidays). I ship through Ebay and will send an email notification of shipment. The shipping charges include insurance and safe packaging to ensure safe arrival.
