Staffordshire Transferware. Scarce form on this early blue footed compote or fruit bowl. The pattern is "Sirius". This was made by J & T Edward (1839-1841). This dates circa 1840. Marked with a printed pattern, maker, and impressed makers mark. Nice detailed romantic view. The condition is very good for its age. There is one small chip on the foot (last picture). No other chips, cracks, or repairs. The compote is nice and clean. These large compotes are not common. This piece never had a lid (guaranteed). It is a beautiful early hard to find piece. Measures about 10 5/8" wide and 5" tall. BID WITH CONFIDENCE .
