This medium Closepack paperweight from Peter's PMcD Studio in Crieff Scotland includes complex and detailed millefiori canes that rival--or SURPASS-- the most complex canes found in even the best antique weights such as Baccarat, Clichy, and St. Louis. Look closely (and after you buy it look with a loupe) and you will see millefiori canes that are almost beyond description. I found one complex cane that had more than 25 individual canes as elements--individual CANES, NOT individual RODS. There is also a "carpet ground" cane with an outer ring of canes enclosing a carpet of more than 40 individual florets. NOBODY ELSE is doing this level of millefiori cane work. The individual canes are set on a mottled pink cushion. The G12B has about 50-55 canes. This paperweight is 2-13/16" in diameter and 2" high. It is signed "PMcD" in four separate canes in the set-up.
