DESCRIPTION: Gray's Pattern #8311 (Made in 1929)           reference:  Bryn Youds - Susie Cooper/An Elegant Affair Hand-painted multi-banded pattern - bright yellow, light grey, emerald green, blue and black     Both pieces have identical banding and are a matching set Colors are bold and bright - glaze is shiny Cup is the tankard style - has a curved handle with a small curve on end MEASUREMENTS: CUP is 2 1/8" ( 5 1/2 cm) tall  x  2" ( 5 cm) diameter  SAUCER  is 4 3/8" (11 cm)  diameter   MARKINGS:  Gray's Designed by Susie Cooper back-stamp on both pieces. Has "Hand-Painted - the Liner Logo -  Gray's Pottery - Hanley England - Designed by Susie Cooper Has number 4311 in black hand-written letters under glaze on the saucer.  (see picture)  CONDITION: EXCELLENT  condition Has no chips - no cracks - no hairlines - no usage marks - NO COLOR OR PATTERN LOSS Has very light "clean" crazing that is only noticeable under magnifying glass & bright light Clean inside of cup with no staining cup and saucer look never used! Note:  I have ANOTHER  identical set on Ebay today  and matching sugar/creamer set THIS AUCTION IS ONLY FOR SET #2 - one cup and one saucer.
