Description
This auction is for a very well cared for Litton U lathe 3.125" bore. I did a rebuild on it a few years back. I did a complete break down of the lathe by replacing bearings, degreasing, paint stripping, replace electric hardware and repainting it., I have worked with Litton lathes for over 15 years and worked exclusively with litton on rebuilding this. Alot of other people selling lathes do a "rebuild" but unless you completely know these lathes and work with litton problems will occur. I am including basically everything in the pictures... -2 sets of Bison scroll chuck which I bought from litton for $900 a piece and they basically new -1 Planetary chuck with key -3 Fisher and Humboldt bunson burner which will keep any piece of glass hot while you work on it -Victor J-40 Hand torch which sells for about $175 with out tips...including 3 tips -4 jet V burner great for beading up ends and splicing -Modified quartz burner to hand torch...great for working in stick stack Here is a link to Litton. This lathe sells for about $12,000- $16,000. http://www.littonengr.com/Bench%20Model%20Lathes.html This a great bench model Litton Lathe and that can be easily moved by 2 people unlike the floor models that need fork lifts. The bore is 3.125" and most people can fit their hand through it. I am selling it because I got a new job and I have 2 of these to work on so I no longer need one. Let me know if you have any questions about using the machine or the machine itself. I will crate for $50. When It was sent to me I paid aout $400 for shipping but obviosuly shipping will vary..... -I added a few new pictures of some jacketed color vases I made for Christmas gifts. Scale may be off from the pictures but these vases outer jackets are 90mm or about 3.5" round.
