This stamp was retired in 1930, so this is vintage. The tureen shows a pink/red scene of St. Woolstons Kildare in 1792 on each side, and Oxford in 1792 on the lid. Inside the tureen on each side is a scene of Conway Castle in 1792. The lid has an open knob and a hole for a ladle. The tureen has a lovely shape and stands up on four feet. It is about 10 3/8 inches long, 9 inches wide, and 9 3/4 inches tall. The lid is 11 3/4 inches long and 9 3/4 inches wide. This tureen is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. The color is bright. The handles show a little variation of color but I think that is original. One handle has a little brownish color on the edge, but that may clean off. There may be occasional tiny places of misplaced paint, but that is common with this type of transferware. A popular replacements website lists this tureen and lid at $599.95 each. They are rare in this condition for this age. I have many pieces of this pattern, so check my other auctions and my store, linncountylady's collectibles.
