Description
truckerwoman48 Store OK, we don't get the opportunity to rhapsodize about dishes.  We, in the replacement biz just see so many.  Hold onto your seat.  This is a luscious full sized tureen, perfect, perfect, perfect, and with its original ladle.  It isn;t Royal Doulton, just Johnson Brothers, but oh so lovely, with a beautiful old brown mark, and, did I mention, it's original ladle?!?!?  The only thing it could have an doesn't is an underliner/platter, with an indent for the tureen base.  I have no reason to believe there ever was one, but it would be nice, right?  Anyway, where ya gonna get another one?  This taps right (you know, when you get that healthy tap and not the thud of an unsound piece)  It shows none of the signs of having been stuck in the oven or set on a hot surface.  The glaze is just great, and all of the curly swirly bits of china are not at all chipped. The pattern is brown leaves and blue flowers on white 12inches tip to tip 4 1/8 inches tall without the lid on top 12 inch perfect original ladle Good job, you found the listing. So many of my shoppers are pretty new. Here are a few things that no one will probably tell you, but EVERYone will expect you to know. Customer Service is something that we have a right to expect when we are shoppers. All stores have a CS Department and it is busy all the time. If you require CS in this life, that does NOT mean that life sucks and the store sucks and your experience has been rotten. If it did, there would be no stores open anywhere in the world or else CS would have to put up bullet proof kiosks, right? As a shopper, your responsibilities, along with paying of course, include reading your email. CS issues sometimes arise prior to shipping. Maybe the wind crashes a shelf and your item is broken, no longer available. It would be best if the seller could inform you prior to that angry email from you that says , Hey, where's my stuff??? There are all sorts of reasons for a seller to contact you, things that don't come up in a face to face purchase. So, the shopping is easy, but check your SPAM/BULK filters for emails that could be important. Check your MY MESSAGES portion of your MY EBAY. Genuine messages go there and wait for you. Most of us are running little part time businesses. We work alone, have no fill in employee, and thanks to eBay, we make things available to folks all over the world, things we could never afford to truck around to some place where you might notice it. We all want things to go smoothly and we're all learning as we go. OK, now have a good time. Eva EBAY STORES have an enormous selection of every sort of thing you might want. If your search results do not include EBAY STORE items, they are HIDDEN. Do an advance search and click to choose STORE items to open up your choices and take the pressure out of buying. Feel free to ask questions whether you want my things or not. It may be the only information forthcoming. OK, now, if this is a dish listing, there are some things I should be telling you. Unless you are looking at 150 year old dishes, you can assume that there are no cracks or chips. Very few things in my store are new. Unless I say something is new, you can assume that you are buying something that someone else has previously owned. Now, that object may have sat in their china closet, waiting for an occasion worthy of it, and may have the original sticker or paper label on it. You can expect that dishes saved for "best," are in excellent condition. Lots of these dishes were used all the time. Dishes that are used develop utensil marks. Much depends on whether folks are using sharp knives on meat or whether they heat dishes in the oven. I try not to buy dishes with lots of utensil marks, and therefore avoid selling them. There will most likely be SOME, sometimes NONE, but often, SOME. I take NO RETURNS. Ask questions. And before you ask if these are NEW, remember, startling revelation: REPLACEMENT SERVICES SELL USED DISHES. If dishes have been out of production for some years, then, it would be a rare circumstance for there to be NEW available and we would be drawing attention to their newness, right?
