Between 1952 and 1956 he studied at the 'Instituut voor Kunstnijverheid Amsterdam' He also followed lessons from Stig Lindberg (1964-1965), Dame Lucie Rie (1961-1962) and prof. Kylikki Salmenhaare (1960). He worked at /designed for Arabia, Royal Copenhagen, Rosenthal and Selb Germany. His work is represented in collections of museums worldwide. He has his own studio in Breda, The Netherlands. The rare oject on offer in this listing is very typical for the work Van Loon made in the early 1960's. It is handbuild and has a mushroom like form, with stamped in decoration. It is signed with the artist's monogram.
