Description
silvercrane3 Store AESTHETIC JAPANESQUE TRANSFER PLATTER W. BLOSSOMS AND NUTS This Aesthetic Movement design has an asymmetric Japanesque arrangement of bamboo and almond blossoms. This brightly hand painted polychrome design almond blossoms blooming along with the almonds, beside tall tropical bamboo stalks, is pure fiction or artistic license! It makes a great display platter! The design transfer is a dark blue almost black and is quite bold against the plain white background. The platter is edged in tiny crochet-like border. The platter is 16” x 13” and in great condition and is in excellent condition. The Mark on the bottom indicates H & C, which is Hope & Carter (c.1862-80) Initials "H & C" are found on printed marks. The name of the pattern is often included WITHIN the trademark. In this case it is "BRAMBLE" Several printed marks are of garter form and occur on patterns registered in the firms name in the 1860's. Stylistically, the platter was probably made in the mid-1870s. Each and every question deserves a quick response! Now for some practical details. Either check or money order is fine. Cost of shipping and insurance will be $13.00, for USPS Priority Mail, depending on location and final value. We will send you the cost for your location. (Please ignore the Ebay estimates.) Insurance is required, for your protection. International buyers are welcome, but please check methods of payment and shipping costs in advance. Payment is requested within 8 days, or you may risk default, unless prior arrangements have been made. Have fun bidding!
