Description
WELCOME Thank you for visiting! Feel free to ask questions before you bid. This beautiful green pottery vase with black applied decoration at the top and bottom has a Japanese Awaji ware hallmark.   Awaji ware was made during the Showa reign 1926 to 1988 with three different hallmarks used.   This mark is probably 'Early Showa'  which covers the Showa reign before 1945 (see Gotheborg.com antique Chinese and Japanese porcelain.)  The Awaji pottery, known as Awaji ware, is admired for its bright colors, robust shapes, and creatively incised, painted, and applied decoration.  The vase has some pock marks under the glaze and the black is 'bleeding' but these do not detract from the beauty of the vase.  There are no chips, cracks or crazing.   It is 6 inches tall, with a 2 1/2 inch opening, a 2 7/8 inch base and about a 4 and 3/8 inch diameter at its largest area.       We want your shopping experience to be a great one and will help you attain this in any way we can.   If you are satisfied, please let us know by leaving us a five star feedback.  If you are not satisfied in any way, please email us and we will do everything we can to correct the problem.     You have seven days to return your item for a refund of your purchase price plus we will pay the return shipping fee.   We accept PayPal, money orders, and personal checks.      We strive to give you a FIVE STAR shopping experience   If you purchase multiple items from us, you will save money on shipping.  However before you pay, please allow time for us to send you an invoice with combined shipping costs or your shipping costs will not be correct.    We use fresh boxes, bubble wrap, corrugated protection and loose fill to protect your items.  We ship soon after receiving payment which requires frequent trips to the post office.  We try to keep your shipping costs to a minimum, but these factors may require us to charge a modest handling fee which would vary depending on the size of your package.   We will never charge more than absolutely necessary to have your package arrive at your door safely.   We ship the majority of our packages by priority mail with USPS and may ship with UPS for large and heavy packages.  Let us know when you need your item faster or if you would prefer Parcel Post.     Add Me To Your Favorite Sellers List!                  Subscribe in a reader     Powered by eBay Turbo Lister The free listing tool.
