He founded his factory in Valkenburg in 1947. The factory gained worldwide attention with its large range of black and white figurines and tiles in the 1950's, but also produced a large number of high quality art pottery and domestic ceramics. It closed in 1977. After that period Jaap Ravelli went on making unique and one off pieces, like the one for offer in this listing. The piece we offer here is a very distinctive, large and heavy vase. It is signed in full and numbered.
