It is in new condition...just been sitting on a mantle for 22 years. Bought for a lot of money at the hometown of Richard Jolley and his wife Tommy Rush, Knoxville, Tn.He actually Grew up in Pikeville, Tn. It was auctioned off at The '86 Mayor's Art Auction..a sit down dinner black tie event for 750 people. At $100/couple in 1986, it was quite an event indeed. The location was the 1982 World's Fair Park in the USA Pavillion, now gone. I was the lucky winner of this piece and chaired the event that year. This piece is called Tropical Fish and the title and Richard's signature is etched on the bottom of the art glass. I have a program from the Mayor's Art Auction for that year and it states that Richard Jolley's piece if there. A very rare opportunity as Mr. Jolley went on to Paris and became well known throughout the world as a top glass scuturer. His pieces are in fine galleries throughout the world and bring tens of thousands of dollars. This earlier work of his is like buying a Picasso painting prior to his demise.
