This is a beautiful and BIG signed piece from Hull Pottery, a Serenade pattern No. S-13 -  13 1/2"  Ewer. It was  manufactured in the late '50's. This majestic pitcher measures approximately  13.5" tall, 10.25" from spout to handle, and 5"  across the top.  The bottom has impressed markings "Hull S13, USA, (c) '57." It would be in near perfect condition EXCEPT for REPAIRS to the spout. There is about a 2" triangular piece that is glued back in from the center of the spout going towards the right. On the left side of the spout two half inch flakes have been glued back in. There is a small chip on the underside of the base, but it does not show. In spite of this unfortunate trauma, the ewer remains lovely and as you can see in the pictures, still displays magnificently.The repairs are only noticeable from certain angles. There is no crazing anywhere on this piece. There are virtually none of the usual Hull spots, dots, marks and pimples. The inside and bottom are clean and pristine, and appear unused. Other than the repairs it's pretty much perfect.  I'm being very picky here - there are no other chips, cracks or repairs on this piece. This pebbly texture Serenade Ewer is just lovely - a background of robin's egg blue with turquoise blue, red and black flowers and lavender pink, turquoise and black birds. A rare chance to get this special Hull piece for your collection at a bargain price. 2003 Book Value on this piece was $360 -$460, I have no idea what it runs now.
