Vintage!Rose Swag Terra Cotta PotteryPeters & Reed Moss Aztec Jardiniere!It measures approximately 10-1/4" high x approximately 13-1/2" in diameter and it weighs a whopping 12-1/2 pounds.The inverted bell shape is decorated with clusters of roses beneath raised "architectural" pieces connected by swags shown in relief against a lightly textured background accented with the classic Peters & Reed Moss Aztec green tint accenting the design.The rim is raised slightly above the curving shoulder and the interior has a rich brown glaze.The bottom forms four raised feet around the outer edge. There are a couple of old pencil marks on the bottom and two initials that look like F F, possibly Frank Ferrell. Please note that this piece is vintage and has the usual small potting and decorating imperfections -there are drips in the glaze on the interior -there are some scuffs, scratches and rubs to the glaze on the interior -the bottom of the interior also shows some age wear, scuffing and spotting with some roughness in the clay -there is a patch of red stuck on the shoulder just below the rim -there are a couple of small shallow dings on the rim, one on the inside edge and a couple on the outside edge -there are also a couple of small shallow dings on the exterior of the body and on the raised decorations -there are a couple of slightly larger chips on one of the rose cluster decorations -there are a couple of light spots, scuffs and rubs on the exterior -there are some old water marks and faint stains on the exterior and the bottom - andthere is an old shallow chip out of the bottom of one of the raised feetas shown in the photographs and more clearly in the large click on photographs.This wonderful piece will be a welcome addition to any collection of Vintage Peters & Reed or Arts & Crafts Art Pottery as well as being a stunning accent in any Mission Oak, Craftsman Bungalow, Rustic Lodge, Log Cabin or Garden Country decor!
