clutterbabe Store Royal Doulton, England - PEARLY GIRL Doulton CHARACTER (toby) JUG (mug) Blue jacket; lime green feather; maroon hat and button Designer: Harry Fenton Approx. 3 1/4 inches high (referred to as small size) Introduced in 1946 for just a BRIEF period, before being discontinued in 1946 Quoted from A Charlton Standard Catalogue (price guide) of ROYAL DOULTON JUGS, 8th edition (2004): "Pearly Girl is the female counterpart of Pearly Boy. She was a costermonger who sold her produce in the streets of London. Pearly Girl is 'Arriet dressed in her finest." Also, I have in my eBay "store" Pearly Boy, the male counterpart of Pearly Girl Bid with confidence because it has been completely examined. Condition is PERFECT.
