Description Wonderful collection of 6 genuine delft Christmas tiles from Holland! Starting in 1980 through 1984 and one from 1990. Each tile has a different heart-warming Christmas scene - example: 1980 St. Laurentius Church of Bergambacht 15th Century; 1981 New Church of Amsterdam Anno 1417; 1990 The Sint-Bavo of Haarlem Anno 1370. On the back of each tile is the maker's marks, stamp of a potter at work "n.v.plateelbakkerij, schoonhoven holland", an incised "G" inside a wreath on three tiles and the 1990 tile reads "Second Edition Delft Christmas Tile". They are all in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. All 1980's tiles have a metal wall hanging hook on the back, but the previous owner had placed duct tape on the tile hooks to keep from coming loose and having the tiles fall. The 1990 tile has duct tape and string (see photot). Each piece measures @ 6" in diameter. Beautiful set to liven up a wall space! ps: the holidays are coming...
