This paneled glass salt box is round and has a nice hinged metal lid.  So nowadays you could use it as a sugar bowl if you wanted to.  The metal lid has a shiny finish. The color is a green with a very slight blue tinge which is the green color that US Glass made and there are mixing bowls and other kitchen glass which match it.   The salt box is 4 3/4 inches wide and  3 inches deep.
