They measure 7 1/2" to 7 3 /4" and are 1" deep. They can be attributed to Archie Teague (1935-1998) - a legend in the art of NC pottery. The glaze has a brown back ground and shades of grey, blue and purple. and all plates are a little different in color and size, common with hand made pieces.  I think the glaze is called Dove Grey.
