Please excuse any glare in the photos. This form looks somewhat like a melon or flower bud; it has both geometric art deco and naturalistic arts and crafts characteristics. The exterior of the vase is glazed in a semi-matte or satiny matte light green. The interior is glazed a curdled or wormy matte pink. This pot stands a little about 5 1/8 inches tall and is approximately 4 3/4 inches in diameter. Thanks!IdentificationImpressed into the bottom of the vase is the Rookwood logo and the Roman numerals XXX (1930) or XXIX (1929). It is hard to tell which date is correct; the third X appears to have been incised by hand by the finishers at Rookwood, probably because the stamp did not come out clearly in the mold. The stamped shape number beneath is 2812.ConditionThis vase is in fine condition with no post-factory chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs. There are a few scattered, tiny glaze-only grinding flakes to the basal edge, where excess glaze was removed at Rookwood. There are a few scattered and very minor metal marks to the mouth and exterior, which I have not scrubbed.
