This offering is for a set of six very early, possibly Marcolini period old Meissen  matched set of six 9.5 inch diameter dinner plates.  They have a white ground, are a fairly heavy ware with fairly deep bowl indentation for a plate, (approx 1/2 inch) with hand painted spray of two-tone grape leaves and curly vine in the center with matching border design all around the rim, the edge is a pale brownish taupe paint.  The plates are all slightly different, with some firing glitches, small bits of lack of glaze, flea bite flakes missing on edge paint, one has a flea bite chip to under rim as seen in last photo, there are no cracks or crackling.  Painted design is good, but a few small flakes.  They are not completely uniform, with some wiggles and some of the plates sit flatter than others.  Each marked with an underglaze blue crossed swords with pommel dots and under star, each marked with an overglaze deep brown 69. assume painters mark and each marked with an underglaze impressed number, three plates with the number 12 and three with the number 13B.  Mark corresponds to that used c1774-1825.  These came out of a very wealthy California Estate - purchased in Europe shortly after WWII.  Please email with any questions.
