It was created by the contemporary Artist Rich Freiwald in the arts and crafts and art nouveau style. Each piece is unique and not mass produced! This hand thrown amphora shaped sculptural vessel has a diving frog decending through a meriad of pond colors. It is glazed in an impressionist manner employing a series of matte white, cobalt blue, bronze brown, rosy mauve, maroon, iron oxide red, vanadium yellow, copper green, chartruese and orange creating a dappled effect. It has an impressed mark and is signed. The glaze is full of texture and character! Crackle, crater, matte crystalline and layered painterly effects are present and desired. The variation in texture and color is intentional! There are no cracks or chips. Please view all of the photographs.
